What’s it like?

Groups come together based on common activities or shared interests, all with the goal of growing closer to God while building authentic relationships among members. A group can be anything from a Bible study to friends at lunch or a basketball team.

How often do groups meet?

- Most groups meet once a week
- There are 3 Group semesters a year (winter, summer & fall) with breaks in between
-These breaks allow you to naturally switch groups if desired, so you can easily try out multiple groups in order to find your tribe
- Its ok if you need to miss a week. Groups add meaning and community to the flow of your life and are helpful even if you can’t attend every meeting

Where do groups meet?

Groups meet at locations of their choice around Northwest Ohio, and some even meet online.

What if I don’t like the first group I try?

The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders, and try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. The simple strategy to finding success in groups is to not give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone!

Is there childcare?

Childcare varies from group to group. When you search our directory, the group profile will indicate if childcare is available.

Start & Lead a Group

Leading a group isn’t about being perfect; it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect.

Hosting a group is simple—choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it.

We give you essential tools to make your small group successful through Leadership Training and a directory where you can register your group so others can find it easily.

We believe people’s lives are changed one semester at a time by moving one step toward Christ, and as a group leader you get to play an important role in that process.

Step 1. Choose a Type of Group

Decide what your group is about, your goals, and where the group meets.

Step 2. Attend a Leadership Training

Attend a training hosted at your location where we’ll give you the tools you need to make your small group successful. See times and locations below.

Step 3. Start Your Group
A woman smiling
"What led me to join my first group was not wanting to disappear... I have really enjoyed being a part of something more than just the Sunday service. My experience has been the opposite of what I initially expected. I have a history of being told I’m too much sometimes. But, what I found was this accepting and loving community where I can just be me and learn alongside everyone else. When my first group semester ended I was sad because I enjoyed it so much... I was encouraged to lead a group and I overcame my fear and ran with it. The way God is moving is so incredible. I’ve seen God open my heart and remind me how incredibly loved I am..."
