WHAT IS MISSIONAL MEMBERSHIP?

Missional membership is simply every member being on mission! It means living sacrificially, being the first to give up a seat at a full weekend service, changing to a service that has empty seats, serving at another campus, planting new life groups or even moving to another city to plant a church; doing what it takes to reach our relational networks, our families, neighborhoods and workplaces. It is about maturing as a believer, falling more in love with Jesus and seeing people through His eyes.
 

HOW DO I BECOME A MISSIONAL MEMBER?

There are four steps to become a member of CedarCreek.tv:

• Investigation – The prospective member completes a Bible study defining missional membership in general, the mission, and the Vision, Core Values, and Strategy of CedarCreek. Each person can do the work at his or her own pace, by doing the membership book on their own or joining a class online, or join with others to work on the material in a classroom setting.
• Affirmation – The prospective member now responds to questions based on the study completed. This is a time of self-evaluation where each individual affirms whether the marks of missional membership are true in his or her life.
• Confirmation – The prospective member completes the membership commitment worksheet (available at any Welcome Center/Connecting Point or online by clicking here) or meets with someone assigned by the elders to discuss the affirmations made and to confirm a commitment to missional membership. Any difficult issues may be referred to the elders.
• Celebration – New missional members are presented to the church at a scheduled New Members Celebration along with their Life Group or Ministry team so that our entire Christian community can rejoice.
